We met in 2015 and eloped 5 years later on top of a mountain in Asheville, North Carolina on a chilly Thanksgiving day. We have been together for 9 years and married for 4! We have acquired a few more family members over the years- a dog, Chester, and two cats, Remmy and Han Solo. (He was born on May 4th. We had to. IYKYK.)
We’re both very musical and our home is often filled with the sound of some sort of instrument or vinyl record playing softly in the background. When we’re not being cozy at home, you can usually find us treasure hunting in thrift stores or trying all the vegan spots we can find!
Being in the wedding industry was never something that we sought out initially. I (Becca) spent most of my working life managing various coffee shops and bakeries, and was well on my way to opening up a place of my own. Justin has worked as a carpenter for many years, which he still does and loves. We bought our first DSLR camera in 2017 with the intention of just having another creative outlet, something we could do together, and accidentally fell head over heels in love with the art of documentation.
We began taking photos of our friends, which led to us shooting our first elopement in 2018, our first wedding in 2019, to now in 2025, having an entire wedding photography and videography business. This has, above all else, become our passion. This business is our pride and joy, and we are so grateful to love what we do so, so much.
Stros Photo & Film is 100% inclusive.
This is a love industry, and we are in the business of documenting love.
We strive to create an environment where every one of our couples can feel loved, safe and comfortable with us, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.
We believe intolerance of any kind is unacceptable, and it has no home in our sphere.
